GST Notice
Last updated 24 October 2026
Parchi helps you prepare invoices and calculates tax from what you enter. It does not replace your own judgement or professional advice.
You decide the tax treatment
- Parchi works out GST from the GSTIN, state, place of supply, HSN or SAC code and rate you provide. If any of these is wrong, the invoice will be wrong.
- Check the correct HSN or SAC code and GST rate for each item with your chartered accountant or on the GST portal, especially when the rate depends on price, packing or how a product is sold.
- GST rates and rules change. The app may not reflect the latest notification the day it is issued.
HSN and SAC suggestions
The suggestions in the item form come from a built-in list of common goods and services. The list is not complete or official, and a suggested code or rate may not fit your product. Always confirm before issuing bills. The official search is on the GST portal.
What Parchi does not do
- It does not file GST returns or connect to the GST portal.
- It does not generate e-invoices (IRN and QR code) or e-way bills. When an invoice is large enough that an e-way bill is normally needed, the app reminds you and links to the portal. Whether one is required for your movement of goods is for you to decide.
- It does not give tax, legal or accounting advice.
Records
Keep your own copies of important records. Use the Excel export regularly, and keep invoices and books for the period the law requires.
