Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This explains what Parchi collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do. It is written in plain language. The Parchi team ("we") runs Parchi.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and a password (we never see the password in readable form; our sign-in provider stores it protected).
- Your business details: name, address, GSTIN, state, phone, email, logo, signature, bank account and UPI details that you choose to add.
- Your customers' details that you enter: names, GSTIN, addresses, phone numbers and emails. You are responsible for having the right to use them for billing.
- Your records: items, invoices, payments, notes and the files you add.
- If you connect Google Sheets: the email of the Google account you choose, and a secure token that lets Parchi write to the one sheet it creates in your Drive.
- Technical information: crash and error reports with the app version, phone model and Android version. These reports are set up not to include your invoices, customer names or your email.
How we use it
To run the app for you: to create and store invoices, produce PDFs and Excel files, keep your records safe, and fix bugs. We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising, and we do not build profiles about you or your customers.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run Parchi. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service.
- Supabase: stores your account, your records and your uploaded files. Its servers may be outside India.
- Expo: delivers app updates to your phone.
- Sentry: receives crash and error reports.
- Google: only if you connect Google Sheets.
Google Sheets and Google data
If you connect Google Sheets, Parchi asks only for permission to create and edit files that Parchi itself creates in your Google Drive. It cannot see your other files. Parchi uses this to keep one spreadsheet of your invoices up to date, and for nothing else.
Parchi's use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored token. You can also remove Parchi's access in your Google Account settings. The sheet already created stays in your Drive.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data while your account is active. The owner of a business can delete the business from Settings, which permanently deletes its invoices, customers, items, payments, bank details and settings. Backups held by our providers may keep copies for a short further period before they are removed.
Indian tax law may require you to keep your invoices and books for several years (for GST, generally 6 years). Before you delete a business, export what you need to keep. To delete your whole account, write to us at the address below.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it erased, and to withdraw your consent. You can also make a complaint. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored with access controls so one business cannot see another's records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your phone locked.
Children
Parchi is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
